Please note that the video and photographic materials are for insight into Winifred Burnet-Smith's previous works and do not demonstrate what will be explored in this workshop.
This workshop will be a space for you to inhabit the uniqueness of you as an artist.
We will be doing this by striping down layers of habits and conditioning so that your body is free to express with no limitations.
You will work with ways of articulating your own qualities and emotions through your physicality.
You will broaden your vocabulary and creativity by working on the ability to move between minute detail and full on physicality with all the shades and textures in between.
You will cultivate a sense of being in control and also how you can use being out of control to our advantage.
This workshop will be based on improvisation, set exercises and choreographed phrases where we will work on quality and care within the movement that you will be able to apply to future work beyond this workshop.
