Please note that the video and photographic materials are for insight into Peter Jasko's previous works and do not demonstrate what will be explored in this lab.
The focus of this lab is to develop unique movement patterns by playing with different tools and qualities of movement such as rebound, flow, fractions, shaking and much more. Improvisation or “Open Dancing” will be the tool with which you start. Later the focus will be on short exercises based on isolations and polyrhythms.
In a playful environment you will work with instinct and consciousness simultaneously in order to discover new movement possibilities. Peter would like to precipitate curiosity and creativity in order to increase the dancer’s movement skills.
In this workshop he would like to focus and exercise individual practice, duet work and group work as well. Peter has created a system of how to approach this practice in efficient way.
